Heavy, presented by A Chorus of Fools, is currently playing at Greenfinch Theater and Dive Bar in its world premiere production. Heavy tells of a melancholic romance between two overweight adults.

Nearly 40-years after it was written, Wendy Wasserstein’s play The Heidi Chronicles carries a heightened level of poignance. The Pulitzer Prize and Tony winning play follows the chronological journey of a young female protagonist from late high school through her early 40s. It is an examination of a life lived by a woman who refused to sacrifice her dreams of having a career while still wanting a meaningful romantic relationship and a family.

Tom Ridgely’s cool pork pie hat wasn’t the only jazzy thing on the stage at the opening of St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s production of Hamlet. Ridgely, the producing Artistic Director of St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, welcomed the packed Shakespeare Glen sporting headwear that foreshadowed Director Michael Sexton’s jazzy mid-20th century vibe for his production of Hamlet in Forst Park. Seems Williman Shakespeare is the cool cat in town this spring.
