Before I tell you how this book worked for me, a small piece about what it is compared to. While I am a stranger to the discourse that surrounds Scott Lynch, I maintain that THE LIES OF LOCKE LAMORA is one of the most impressive books I’ve read. Compare anything to it, I will pick that book up. So you see how this landed in my TBR pile, despite my regular insistence on how most medieval epic/high fantasy bores me. Now the verdict? I review this because I read it far enough (70%), before I dropped it.
