The only reason these Gazans are starting to protest now (and haven’t done so for the last 18+ months) is because Israel for the first time since Oct 2023 has closed the gates to the “humanitarian aid” (3 weeks ago) and now Hamas is increasing the prices that they are charging their own people for the food and goods which they took control of when the approx one thousand trucks came through the gates during the two month ceasefire. These Gazans don’t hate Hamas.

Talk about conflicted! What will Pro-Palestinian activists here in Australia make of protests against Hamas in Gaza overnight? Will the Greens be out in force this weekend calling for the end of Hamas? Will university students rally on campuses in Sydney and Melbourne to demand the terrorist group to lay down its arms and surrender? What are the chances Queers for Palestine members will chant “Free free Palestine … from Hamas!”?
