In a recent article, I considered the context and rationale of the exemption from Australian dividend withholding tax (DWT) for franked dividends paid by Australian companies to non-resident shareholders, and challenge whether the exemption in its current form is justified. How the DWT works in Australia? For a resident shareholder in an Australian company, the tax that is ultimately paid on company profits distributed to them as dividends is calculated by reference to their own personal tax rate.

In Chapter 1 of Shepherds for Sale, Megan Basham critiques many evangelical leaders for their positions, alleging they have sold out to a leftist agenda. Her huge claims demand careful consideration of the evidence. I am broadly sympathetic to some of her positions. However a pattern has emerged. Other reviewers have pointed out that Basham often misrepresents her sources and prominent evangelical leaders like Gavin Ortlund, Marvin Olasky and J.D. Greear do claim they were misrepresented.
