(WJW) — Memorial Day may be the unofficial start to summer. However, there is a lack of summer-like heat in the extended forecast. High temperatures will be near or below normal for the week ahead. Surprisingly, it turns out that the year as a whole is actually NEAR NORMAL in terms of percentage of days with above normal temperatures. Sunday night will be cool and quiet, with just a few clouds around. Overnight lows will be in the 40s.

(WJW) — Temperatures finally started to head in the right direction on Saturday. Despite a fair amount of sunshine, temperatures struggled to hit 60 degrees across much of the area. Here’s a look at Saturday’s high temperatures:Unfortunately, this cool weather pattern, or below normal temperatures, will be sticking around for the next several days. The normal high for this time of year is 74 degrees.

Much of the area will stay dry Saturday evening/night. However, there is a slim chance of a stray light rain shower or two, mainly for places along and east of I-77.
