    Daniel Meyer is that rarest of things in the modern tech world: A one-company man. The Camunda CTO joined the process orchestration firm when he was still at university. At the time, the German startup had only a handful of employees and initially offered consultancy around process management. In fact, Meyer says he played a key role in the decision of founders Bernd Ruecker and Jakob Freund to build the Camunda platform, which launched in 2013, and helps businesses manage their processes.

    Adidas has become the latest major brand to reveal it has been hit by a cyber attack in which customers’ personal data has been stolen. The sportswear giant said criminals had accessed and stolen consumer data that “mainly consists” of contact information from customers who had reached out to the German firm’s helpdesk. Adidas added that it does not believe passwords, credit card or payment data had been stolen in the breach, which has also had no impact on the company’s business operations.

    OpenAI has agreed to buy AI device startup io in a deal worth $6.4 billion, which will also see founder and former Apple designer Sir Jony Ive join the ChatGPT-maker. Ive, who was responsible for designing several iconic Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad and the iMac, will “assume deep design and creative responsibilities” at OpenAI, the firm said in its announcement. Ive was already working alongside OpenAI founder Sam Altman as part of the creative collective LoveFrom.

    The UK Post Office has struck an agreement to provide compensations to hundreds of former sub-postmasters after it leaked their names and addresses on its corporate website. In total, 555 victims of the Horizon IT scandal had their personal details published in the data breach, which was revealed in June last year, prompting the Post Office to apologise.
