Todd felt aggrieved that Michael Dunlop was not penalised after he failed to stop when he ran on at Mathers chicane on the first lap. Dunlop was confirmed as the winner, but Todd said the outcome had given him extra incentive to win the Superstock race. The 8TEN Racing BMW rider became embroiled in a battle with Honda’s Dean Harrison that went down to the last lap on the Coast Road. Todd had opened a gap on Harrison but the leaders encountered some slower riders, with Todd losing some ground.
