The temperatures will be the story for much of this weekend, as our heat index this afternoon could be up close to 110°. The actual high will make it to the mid 90s in many communities, and heat advisory is in effect from 11 AM until 7 PM Saturday. We will have a few isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, but they will be fairly limited and will likely hold off till the late afternoon and early evening.

There is a small chance for a lingering shower around 7pm, but the evening will become dry quickly.

We will still have scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms through the early evening, but the coverage of those thunderstorms should only be 40%, meaning the majority of us are going to stay dry.

We had scattered showers Tuesday morning, and there is still a 40% chance for more showers Tuesday afternoon and early in the evening.

SOME OF YOU ALREADY SEEING THOSE DOWNPOURS, BUT MORE IS EXPECTED AND THAT’S NOT A GREAT VIEW FOR NEIGHBORS OUT IN MISSISSIPPI. JIM, YOU KNOW, YOU SHOWED IT TWO MINUTES AGO AND I WAS SO BUSY WITH THE RADAR, I REALLY HADN’T LOOKED AT THAT CAMERA IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES. SO YEAH, YOU CAN SEE THOSE OMINOUS CLOUDS MOVING VERY QUICKLY TOO.
