Featured Editorials There is tremendous concern within the fanbase and media about the New York Jets WR room, and I completely understand why. Assuming Allen Lazard is gone, Garrett Wilson is the only proven commodity in the room and one of three WRs on the roster who have run routes in several NFL games before.

Featured Editorials For those of you who haven’t completely given up on the worst franchise in all of US professional sports, this is a big week! The NY Jets have a chance to defend their title as Offseason Champions by signing many people that we will most likely overestimate and get our hopes on again.

Jet News Morgan Moses spent two different stints with the Jets: a very successful year in 2021 when PFF ranked the team as the 11th best offensive line in football and then just now in 2024 where he got injured and then played through injury for a year where he once again improved the quality of the offensive line.

Obviously the NY Jets' 2023 season was a massive disappointment. Most fans and media alike are already looking ahead to the 2024 season, but with the Super Bowl of this season yet to be played, I'd like to take one last look in the rearview mirror to assess how things got so bad. Is it as simple as saying Aaron Rodgers got hurt? The Jets had no chance of even making the playoffs by their fifth offensive snap of the season?

Will these bubble players be released, extended, or veer off into free agency? By James Wudi | 9:00 AM ESTIn preparation for last year’s season finale against the Miami Dolphins, I looked at a few players who were still playing for something despite the NY Jets’ season being very clearly over at that time. I won’t exactly go through that same song and dance this year, but it’s worth noting that there are certainly Jets playing for something this year.

Wilson's within reach of his rookie season yardage and touchdown totalBy James Wudi | Jan 6, 2024Please allow me some time to admire the brilliance of NY Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (again). He was able to cross the 1,000-yard mark for a second consecutive season, so he is merely eight seasons away from competing for Mike Evans’ all-time record. However, he was able to finish his rookie season with 1,103 yards and four touchdowns.

The 15 straight games the Patriots have beaten the NY Jets now make up the longest active winning streak that any NFL team has over another. The Kansas City Chiefs began this season with a 15-game winning streak against the Denver Broncos and extended it to 16 before losing 24-9 back in October to break the streak. 15 happens to tie the Patriots’ franchise record for most consecutive wins against a team, which they had against the Buffalo Bills from 2003-2011.

Ever since Aaron Rodgers’s infamous announcement on The Pat McAfee Show, I convinced myself that the NY Jets were destined to win the Super Bowl in 2025 (the 2024 season). Even after the equally infamous Achilles tear, I didn’t lose faith, even as I discovered how negatively Nathaniel Hackett’s presence appeared to impact the team and how stubborn the front office continues to be as they refuse to admit Zach Wilson was a colossal mistake.
