An entry list for next month’s Fuji round of the GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS has been released, with the return of the Absolute Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 bumping up the field to 32 cars for the series’ first visit of the year to Japan. Released on Thursday, the 32-car entry forms part of a wider 57-car gathering for the SRO GT PowerTour event on July 11-13, which also includes a 25-car Japan Cup field.

Peugeot Sport technical director Olivier Jansonnie has outlined what he feels are the two options for Peugeot’s future in the FIA World Endurance Championship amid the 9X8’s failure to feature in the fight in last weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The French manufacturer experienced the worst qualifying of all eight Hypercar brands ahead of the WEC blue riband, and while its race pace was somewhat improved, it could only manage a best finish of 11th (12th before the No. 50 Ferrari’s exclusion).

Neel Jani has urged Porsche to share more information with its customer FIA World Endurance Championship team Proton Competition, which he described as a “one-man show” following a disappointing 24 Hours of Le Mans. The No. 99 Porsche 963 shared by Jani, Nico Pino and Nico Varrone ended up 13th in the final results and four laps down, with a larger pace deficit to the works Porsche Penske Motorsport cars than had been seen in the opening three rounds of the WEC season.
