Trends or anomalies? Those are the things were are all trying to decipher after two weeks of the regular season. Toronto, Ottawa and Hamilton have all started the season 0-2, while the Alouettes, Roughriders and Stampeders are off to 2-0 starts to the season. I did a quick peak back to 2024 to see that the Bombers were 0-4 in the first four weeks of the season, while Calgary was 2-1.

I can’t wait for Thursday night to open the CFL season in 2025!There are so many changes around the league including new coaches in BC and Edmonton. Nathan Rourke looks to find his game again after struggling in ’24 when he joined the Lions mid-season and the man sent out the door in BC, Vernon Adams Jr., will try to make a debut to remember in Calgary. Davis Alexander takes the reins in Montreal, as Dru Brown wants to open his sophomore season in Ottawa with a bang in Saskatchewan.

If there is a team in the CFL with the most question marks and openings throughout training camp it’s the Calgary Stampeders. When you look across their final depth chart from last season and see who is back, you’re missing roughly half the starters – if not more depending on which week you’re looking at. There are major changes on the defensive side of the ball with a roughly 75 per cent makeover underway.
