Trump has declared a decisive victory. Vance insists bombing Iran was not an act of war. But Iranian officials say they have been “betrayed”, and they “reserve all options” for retaliation. The United States at the weekend bombed several nuclear production facilities across Iran. US President Donald Trump stated the goal of the strikes was the “destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity”. And nothing else. Now, he has proclaimed his mission a “spectacular military success”.
