And breathe, it’s all over. An exhilarating and ultimately rewarding season has ended and, despite it’s unparalleled success, it has been emotionally draining. There were still some final throes of 24/25 to follow Sunday, as our mates from Wimbledon have just won the final play-off match ahead of players congregating for another round of dreary internationals, but with the Premier League settled its mainly time to look ahead.

“No one’s going to help us out, we need to do this for ourselves.”These wise words seemed to ring very true as we approached the biggest game in 70 days. Weeks of Premier League peers failing to haul back our Champions League rivals, but with United building up enough points to sit in a healthy 4th position, going into a winnable game against an Everton side with nowt to play for.

My daughter Claire loves ice cream sundaes, trips to amusement parks and watching “Gossip Girl” with her little sister while lounging on the sofa. None of this should be remarkable.
