On Thursday’s TNA iMPACT tapings from Irvine, CA (May 1) – British stars Harley Hudson and Myla Grace made their TNA debuts, facing off with one another in singles action. WWE Former NXT star Eddy Thorpe has broken his silence following his release from WWE on Friday, May 2. On Friday several stars were released by WWE across both the main roster and NXT, with further departures being confirmed on Saturday. Among the names released on Friday was NXT’s Eddy Thorpe – who aside from a gif posted to Twitter in the wake of the news, had not commented publicly on his WWE exit.

WWE/AAA A WWE star appeared via a video package during AAA’s event in Mexico on Saturday, May 3. During the kick-off show for WrestleMania 41 Night One, WWE dropped the bombshell announcement that it is set to acquire Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA. While the deal has been announced, press releases published by both companies revealed that it’s not expected to be finalized until the third quarter of 2025.

WWE An update has emerged on Shotzi’s future following her WWE departure which was confirmed yesterday (May 3). On Saturday it was noticed that WWE NXT star Shotzi had been moved to the alumni section of WWE’s roster page, with confirmation coming soon afterwards that the 33 year old’s time with the company was coming to an end.

WWE A recently departed WWE star is reportedly expected to be done with wrestling following their release from the company. Since Friday (May 2), 17 WWE stars across the main roster and NXT have been confirmed to have exited the company, due to being released from their contracts or WWE opting not to extend their deals. The 16th name to confirm their WWE departure was NXT’s Dani Palmer, who took to social media to reveal that her time with the company had come to an end.
