    On Saturday, May 4, in Carnesville, The Morgan County Track and Field athletes took on competition from throughout the region and found themselves atop the podiums for their efforts. First place region champion in the 100m Dash, Dallas Dickerson, led the Bulldogs. “Dallas ran his personal best in the 100m and 200m,” Head Coach Kelan Fraise said. Dickerson bested his competition with times of 10.56 and 21.97 in the events, qualifying for the State Finals this weekend.

    Morgan County Head Soccer Coach, Aaron Paul, has a team he has prepared for in the 10 years since he took over the program in 2014. Last week, a battle opened up at Bill Corry Stadium with the Bulldogs tied 2-2 at the half against Peach County. Brandon Lopez put 2 goals on the board, and Kentucky Outlaw and Korbin Hegwood solidified the win for Morgan County 4-2 in regulation. “I’m excited for our players,” Coach Paul said.

    The Morgan County Lady Bulldogs Soccer Team fell to Savannah Country Day in penalty kicks after 2-2 regulation and overtime. The Morgan County Lady Bulldogs Soccer team boarded a charter bus, made possible by parent donors and the Upper90 Booster Club, at 10 a.m. last Tuesday. They were embarking on an epic journey that had less to do with miles, and more to do with the reason we all love sports and competition. The Lady Dogs started slow, nervous, timid and out of alignment with one another.

    Morgan County Boys’ Soccer kicked off playoffs with an 8-1 win last Wednesday, April 17, against Dougherty at home. Korbin Hegwood’s hat trick led the team in goals. Head Coach Aaron Paul credited the depth of available players and weeks of focus and practice for the team’s position going into the next round of playoffs.
