    An Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer E190 operating flight J28243 from Baku, Azerbaijan to Grozny, Russia, has crashed while approaching Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan during an attempted emergency landing. Initial reports state that some of the people onboard have survived. Prior to the crash, the aircraft squawked 7700, indicating some sort of general emergency, and flight trackers showed it flying erratically over the Caspian Sea.

    A SwiftAir Boeing 737-400 registered as EC-MFE and operating a cargo flight for DHL from Leipzig, Germany, to Vilnius, Lithuania, has crashed into residential buildings on approach to Vilnius shortly before 5:30am local time. Preliminary reports state that one of the four people was killed, while the other three were injured. So far there have been no reports of any people on the ground being injured.

    A Sukhoi Superjet registered as RA-89085 and operated by Russian airline Azimuth has caught fire after landing at Antalya Airport, Türkiye. Flight A45051 originated in Sochi and reportedly brought 79 passengers to Antalya, all of which were evacuated safely according to initial reports. Videos circulating online show the aircraft’s left engine on fire which quickly spread to other areas around the engine. It is currently unknown what caused the fire.

There is currently no information on how many people were on board flight 2Z2283 when it crashed or whether anyone survived. Videos circulating online show the aircraft spinning towards the ground, others show the wreckage engulfed in flames.

    A Bombardier CRJ-200, registered as 9N-AME and operated by Saurya Airlines, crashed moments after taking off from Kathmandu on a flight bound for Pokhara. According to preliminary reports, 18 of the 19 people on board the aircraft have died in the crash and one of the pilots was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Videos circulating online show the aircraft departing from Kathmandu’s runway 02 in a northernly direction when its right wing suddenly dropped down.
