The anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) has been implicated in a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders including depression and chronic pain. We recently developed and validated a novel low-intensity focused-ultrasound device that can directly modulate ACC. Here we describe the immediate subjective reports of participants who received repeated brief stimulation.
