MADISON — Chase Houser hadn't been on the lacrosse field for more than a week. He'd been working with the athletic trainer and going to physical therapy for an injured Achilles tendon. But there was no way Houser was going to miss the Morris County Tournament final. He was right in the middle of the action as Delbarton came from behind to topple Chatham, 13-12, at Drew University on May 13. It is the Green Wave's third straight MCT lacrosse title, the 21st since the MCT began in 1987.

MOUNT OLIVE — Annie Alden "never had a doubt in my mind" Chatham girls lacrosse would win the Morris County Tournament on Saturday night. The Cougars' senior goalkeeper was absolutely certain. The defense gave Chatham an early boost, and after halftime, the offense took over in a 10-3 victory against Mendham. It is the Cougars' first MCT title since back-to-back wins in 2021 and 2022 – the seventh overall.

STANHOPE — Mikey Ramirez has been waiting for this moment for a year. He was standing at midfield at Lenape Valley, a gold medal around his neck, accepting the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex boys lacrosse MVP plate from North Warren athletic director Brian Gravatt. Ramirez had led Pope John to the HWS title, 13-4, against Voorhees on Saturday. It erased a bit of the bitter taste from falling to crosstown rival Sparta last spring.
