Sitting amongst the modern towers of Billionaire’s Row, the Park Hyatt New York opened in 2014 in Midtown Manhattan, steps from Central Park and across the way from Carnegie Hall. Now, 10 years later, the hotel is debuting its ultra-luxe suite of all suites, the Manhattan Suite, as part of its anniversary renovations. If square footage is an indication of luxury, this suite offers plenty of it. It consists of 3,500-square-feet--in Manhattan, that’s 10 average NYC apartments in one suite.

When you walk into The Westley hotel in downtown Calgary (opened in 2021), you could be walking into a hotel from the 1970s, but one redesigned to bring out the best of the era, like the Dodge Challenger or the macramé fashion trend. To your left is the lively lobby bar filled with foliage and, beyond that, is the modern Mexican restaurant, Fonda Fora. Ahead is the marble-clad front desk, behind which is a large painting with a palette that lends a visual hand to the retro feel.
