Two Mifflin Township police officers were shot Tuesday evening during a traffic stop. Authorities say the shooting happened near the intersection of Perdue Avenue and Mecca Road in Mifflin Township. The area is north of Alger Road and east of Westerville Road. Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge President Brian Steel said both of the officers were taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment. One officer is in critical condition and the other officer is stable.
