    KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - On Saturday the Royals made the team’s first big trade of the season, acquiring reliever Hunter Harvey from the Nationals. The 29-year-old has pitched in Washington the last three seasons, and started his career in Baltimore from 2019-2021, totaling a 3.20 career ERA in six major league seasons. Harvey, a 2013 first-round pick out of high school in North Carolina, brings a much-needed boost to Kansas City’s bullpen that has struggled for most of the 2024 season.
