    Peak Design announced three new Pro tripods that it developed in tandem with adventure photographer and filmmaker Jimmy Chin that promise professional-grade portability, strength and “thoughtfully designed functionality.” The new Peak Design Pro Tripods are all mostly carbon fiber and avaialble in three variations: the Pro, the Pro Tall, and the Pro Lite. The Pro and Pro Lite are close in size but the Lite slims down the legs to reduce weight and size as much as possible.

    OM System has announced the OM-5 Mark II, which it describes as a “refined” mirrorless interchangeable lens Micro Four Thirds camera built for outdoor enthusiasts. The company seems to be taking the “if it ain’t broke” mentality to the OM-5, offering some light refreshes to the core of a camera that hasn’t otherwise changed much since it was called the EM-5 Mark III under the Olympus brand.

    Sigma has announced the 17-40mm f/1.8 DC Art lens, what it calls the successor to the 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens that was designed for DSLRs and became incredibly popular for run-and-gun videographers when it launched in 2013. A lot has changed in the more than 10 years since Sigma released its extremely popular 18-35mm f/1.8, which is perhaps why it has been so long since Sigma revisited the wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C.
