On Thursday night she took home four ACM Awards, tied for the most won at the 60th awards show with Lainey Wilson. Prior to the show, Langley had to move her upcoming Houston concert to a bigger venue.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Nokie Edwards, of the Ventures, was born in Lahoma, OK. He died in 2018 at the age of 82. American singer-songwriter Sonny Curtis, formerly of Buddy Holly’s band, the Crickets, was born in Meadow, TX. He remained with the Crickets after Holly’s death, as the lead vocalist from 1962 to 1985, and again from 1994 to the band’s disbandment in 2016. Curtis would go on to write hit songs like I Fought the Law, Love is All Around and Walk Right Back.

He played with the Yardbirds until 1966, leaving the band because he grew tired of touring, and was replaced by Jimmy Page. He would later serve as a producer for Cat Stevens. Happy 82nd birthday, Paul!American guitarist Danny Whitten, famous for playing in Neil Young’s backing band Crazy Horse, was born in Columbus, GA. He died of a drug overdose in 1972 at the age of 29.
