    After cinematic release in Australia and New Zealand during 2024, a film about the origins of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is being released on multiple streaming platforms on April 30. The Hopeful received encouraging results at the box office and since then church members who missed out have been asking how they can watch it.

    In 2024, we surveyed our readers to better understand how you interact with Adventist Record. The survey revealed some helpful information that can help us shape the future of Record. And to answer head-on the question that came up as a concern on some responses: don’t worry, there is no plan to get rid of the print Record. In fact, support for the printed copy was overwhelming with 72 per cent of respondents saying their primary way of accessing Record was still the print edition.

    Some time ago, my mum gave me a book on prayer called A praying life by Paul Miller. This is not the sort of book I usually read. I’m happy to read faith-based books and devotional type books but the design and the general impression of the book itself made me feel like this wasn’t the book for me—more self-help looking. Yes, I judged the book by its cover. Prayer is also something I don’t think should be formulaic.

    A hall-of-fame Australian photojournalist and regular Signs of the Times contributor has been remembered by motorsport legends and her family. Glenis Lindley (nee Justins) passed away on February 16 aged 83, after more than 50 years involvement with Australian motorsport, as well as a professional teaching career. Ms Lindley grew up in Wynnum Adventist Church, Queensland, and most recently considered Springwood as her home church, watching live streamed services from her home on the Gold Coast.

    On January 25, the Dundas Seventh-day Adventist Church officially launched a new Pathfinder Club! Pastor Chris Campos and his leadership team had extended a warm invitation to Joana, a young teenager from the Hurstville Chinese Church, to help them establish the club. Pathfinder District director, Paulo Laureiro was present to officially invest the entire club, including the directors.
