The Houston Astros (32-27) shut out the Tampa Bay Rays (30-29) 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Houston. Houston got their only offense in the first inning when Christian Walker hit a RBI single off of Taj Bradley to take a 1-0 lead, which would prove to be the final score. Taj (4-5, 3.95) allowed just the one unearned run in the first inning - he allowed three hits in seven innings of work, striking out ten while walking two.

The Tampa Bay Rays (29-27) defeated the Houston Astros (30-26) 13-3 on Friday night to win the opener of the series in Houston. Tied 3-3 after six innings, the Rays erupted with five runs in the seventh and five more in the eighth to turn this game into a blowout. Junior Caminero led the way going 3-for-6 with six RBIs to lead the offense. The Rays and Astros now meet in the second game of the four-game series on Friday night.

The Tampa Bay Rays (28-27) defeated the Minnesota Twins (30-25) 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Steinbrenner Field. With the win, the Rays finished their best homestand of the season with a 7-2 record. Drew Rasmussen (4-2, 2.33) pitched a great game for the Rays, throwing six shutout innings in which he allowed just one hit while striking out five and walking one.

The Minnesota Twins (30-24) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (27-27) 4-2 on Tuesday night at Steinbrenner Field to even the series at one game apiece. With the loss, the Rays saw their winning streak end at six games. The Twins got single runs in the first and second to build a 2-0 lead, before Jonathan Aranda hit a RBI single in the fourth to make it 2-1. The Twins made it 3-1 in the sixth before Kameron Misner drove in a run on a groundout in the seventh to pull within 3-2.

With the win, the Rays are now above .500 and have won six in a row for the first time since June 2023. Jonathan Aranda hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to give the Rays the lead. After Carlos Correa hit a two-run homer in the seventh to pull Minnesota within 3-2, Tampa Bay had an answer in the eighth.
