Tidal forces can bulge the surface of Io up to 100 meters. On Earth, the biggest difference between low and high tide is 16 meters, and that's water, not a solid surface! All of that stress makes Io the most volcanically active world in our solar system. 📷 NASA/JHUAPL/SwRI https://t.co/Sz4SRlpBKI
