After the somewhat ropey release of the first MSI Claw 7, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ retconned a lot of the biggest issues, and I actually quite enjoy it. However, it’s hard to ignore the Intel-sized thorn in its paw. With limited game support for essential AI frame gen and resolution scaling trickery, which in and of itself is more basic than what you get from AMD, it’s no surprise that the entire industry of the best gaming handhelds (except for MSI) has gone with Team Red.

The last time I was blown away by SSD speeds was when I fired up my PS5 for the first time – watching Spider-Man load in less than 5 seconds. But now, it’s happened again thanks to SanDisk’s new WD_Black SN8100 PCIe Gen 5 SSD, which has made my PC legitimately feel next gen with its blisteringly fast load times. And it’s not as if my previous drive was a couch potato — the Samsung 990 Evo is a Gen 4 beast of a drive that feels snappy in loading complex games and apps quickly.

The best VR headsets are growing evermore popular, with the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S leading the charge. But one company that jumped on this train early has been very quiet since 2019. I’m of course talking about Valve, and after several leaks, we’ve got the clearest indicator yet that the company’s standalone headset may be coming sooner than we think. Code-named Valve Deckard, recent details suggest that production is underway and we could see a Fall 2025 launch.
