After weeks of rumors and speculation, Xbox and Bethesda officially revealed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered via a special livestream--after which they promptly shadow-dropped it on Xbox Series X|S (standalone and on Game Pass), PlayStation 5, and PC. During the livestream, Bethesda did address one very important element to the remaster: All of the silly dialogue fans have grown to love remains, with brand-new voiceovers to bring them to the modern age.

With Tarkir: Dragonstorm now available, Magic: The Gathering's community is turning its attention to the game's next major collaboration: the Final Fantasy set, which launches on June 13. Today, Wizards of the Coast announced that MagicCon: Vegas--which takes place one week later, June 20-22--will heavily feature Square Enix's RPG franchise, with panels and a special promo card included in the festivities.

Nintendo's Mario Kart World Direct presentation revealed tons of new details about the upcoming kart racer. However, among the many different scenes was a sneakily silly reference to an infamous moment in Mario history, and it all revolves around a little blue penguin. During the Free Roam section of the presentation--at around the 12:04 mark--we see the Penguin racer approaching a cliff and driving off of it, plummeting to the water below.

While Mario Kart is known for high-speed races across over-the-top courses, head-to-head racing hasn't been the only way players could compete with one another in these games. Today, during the Mario Kart World Direct livestream, Nintendo confirmed that Battle Mode--where kart racers try to pop balloons or collect as many coins as possible--will make its return in Mario Kart World when it launches June 5.
