SAN JOSE - A big office building in San Jose is nearing a foreclosure proceeding and seizure by its lender, according to Santa Clara County property documents. The office building at 10 West Tasman Drive in north San Jose has become delinquent on a loan from Copia Lending provided that totals $29 million, county real estate records show.

OAKLAND - A plan to rename Oakland International Airport in a way that includes San Francisco in its name has drawn flack from a bigger Bay Area rival, marking an unusual conflict among the region's aviation hubs. The proposal being floated by Oakland International Airport has prompted San Francisco International Airport to state that it's "deeply concerned" about the plan for a new moniker.

Driven by robust demand for sports utility vehicles, passenger vehicle sales in India soared to a record high in FY24 with dispatch of more than 42 lakh units. Overall vehicle dispatches from maker to dealers rose to 42.3 lakh units in FY24, an increase of 9%, compared with 38.9 lakh units in FY23. SUV's share to overall passenger vehicle dispatches rose to 50.4% in FY24 against 43% in FY23.

New Delhi: Gross Good and Services Tax (GST) revenue for March 2024 stood at ₹1.78 lakh crore, marking the second-highest collection ever and reflecting a robust 11.5% year-on-year growth, a PIB press release stated. The 'exceptional' performance was primarily attributed to a significant 17.6% rise in GST collection from domestic transactions.

Trains aren't the only place Canada lags on high-speed rail, as the effort to bring in a faster payment system, known as the Real-Time Rail, is years behind schedule. As an example, if you paid a bill online on the Thursday evening before the Easter long weekend, the payment might not be processed until Monday. A modernized system would mean payments go through near-instantly, 24 hours a day, bringing along billions of dollars of benefits, according to an estimate from the C.D. Howe Institute.
