A brief encounter at a middle school dual meet helped build a relay team for the ages. Alondra Grover looked over at Ella Petrosky and introduced herself. Both were in the starting blocks. One of McCaskey’s greatest boys basketball players is being asked to bring the program back to its glory days. Dustin Salisbery, a 2003 graduate, has been named varsity coach, pending approval at a school board meeting on Tuesday. Salisbery led McCaskey to the District Three Class 4A championship as a junior and ranks 10th in Lancaster-Lebanon League history with 1,937 points. Taking over as coach at his alma mater is a dream come true. “It’s a job that I’ve always thought about,” Salisbery said.
