    Jada Lubin started with something called a turbo jav. It’s lighter, smaller and not much like the javelin high school athletes use. McCaskey’s sophomore was in elementary school when she discovered throwing. She developed her skill much earlier than most of her peers. Even though she had promising results growing up, coach Derek Jennings had reason to be skeptical. Lubin is on the small side, maybe 5-4 and 110 pounds. Could she throw a real javelin as far as the substitute?
