My last startup was debanked by Silicon Valley Bank in 2008. We had just closed our venture round and wired $3M into our newly opened SVB account. I had a 10+ year relationship with SVB across multiple startups and portfolio companies; the support they provided entrepreneurs was second to none. One catch. Well two catches actually. The first catch was our lead investor had flagging confidence in a neobank as the traditional banking sector was crumbling.
