Karmelo Anthony’s case is still a very hot topic and only gets hotter as we draw closer to the day he stands trial for the alleged murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. Anthony, also a 17-year-old, says that he was acting in self-defense when he stabbed Metcalf in the chest at a track meet in the northeast Texas city of Frisco. According to FOX4 KDFW, Kayla Hayes spoke at a public press conference where she expressed the pain and anguish her family has been feeling since the incident.

Florida State University became the latest scene of a mass shooting this afternoon around 12 pm EST when a gunman opened fire near the school’s student union according to reports from The Tallahassee Democrat. As result of the shooting and a shooter who was not in custody at the time, spokesperson Chris Petley announced that all Leon County public schools would be placed on lockdown.

Shanteari Young shot her ex-husband, retired Baltimore police officer James Weems, after learning that he was sexually molesting “numerous” children at the daycare center that she owned, Lil Kidz Kastle. BOSSIP reported on the case extensively after Shanteari was arrested, charged, and sentenced to a four years in prison.
