Coming to PC from Wired Productions and developer Camel 101, Beneath adds an all-out action punch to Cthulhu madness. We’ve covered many a Lovecraft-inspired game here on BG that’s leaned heavily into the powerlessness that the theme’s Eldritch horrors can inspire. There’ve been a few too that trod the line, delivering scares and combat in fairly equal measure. However there’ve been none that we can remember, that’ve dealt out what Wired Productions and Camel 101 are preparing with Beneath.

The iconic archeologist has started to make his arrival for the PS5, with the early access launch of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Topping ‘game of the year’ lists for some outlets, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was a smash for Bethesda when it launched for the Xbox Series X|S and PC late last year. But while we knew at the time that the game would be coming to the PS5, we didn’t know quite when.

Fast-paced and multiplayer to the core, Bungie’s upcoming Marathon had a full gameplay reveal over the weekend. If you’re a Mac fan who was playing games on the platform back in the mid-90s, you likely remember Marathon. A first-person shooter with a sci-fi setting and emphasis on storyline, Marathon set players in the boots of a security officer trying to repel a boarding by some hostile aliens.

The town of Kingsport isn’t well, and the madness is spreading to Early Access on the PC, with the arrival of Stygian: Outer Gods. There are, quite honestly, a lot of Cthulhu games that see release for both PC and consoles, and pretty much every year. Some of those are directly inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s classic tales, and some are more indirect in nature, bringing over only a few elements here and there.

The recently launched RPG/Strategy hybrid expansion King Arthur: Legion IX is set to bring undead turn-based action to consoles. Set in a dark fantasy version of the iconic British tales, NeocoreGames’ King Arthur series is a pretty big departure from what you might know of the real-world legends. And a perfect encapsulation of that theme, is the relatively new King Arthur: Legion IX. Launched on PC last year, the standalone expansion takes the world of Avalon and adds a heaping helping of zombies.
