The Blue Jackets sit just two points behind the Islanders in the standings, so Monday's game is vital for both teams. The Blue Jackets are struggling big-time. In the last 10 games, they're 2-7-1, have been shut out four times, and are averaging just 2.10 goals per game. If you take out the game where they scored seven goals, they're averaging just 1.55 goals per game. This isn't pretty. Fans and media have been left asking "What happened to this team?"Many fans on social media are pointing the finger at the return of Captain Boone Jenner, and young Russian Yegor Chinakhov from injury.

Boone Jenner(1), Justin Danforth(8), and Kent Johnson(22) scored the goals for the CBJ, while Elvis Merzļikins made 28 saves in a 6-3 loss to Pittsburgh. PPG Paints Arena is truly a House Of Horrors for the Columbus Blue Jackets. With just two wins in the past 10 years, it's almost a given that when the CBJ visits Pittsburgh, to chalk it up as a loss. The Blue Jackets had 47 shots on Friday against the Penguins, so it was not for lack of trying.

Things just aren't going right for the Blue Jackets. On a night when the undermanned Blue Jackets went toe to toe with the reigning champions, they couldn't get any pucks past Sergei Bobrovsky, and even when they did, it was called back for DKM. Then with just 30 seconds left, Kirill Marchenko, who was simply battling for a puck along the boards with a Panther, knocked the puck out of play, drawing a delay of game penalty.
