Detached home sales were down 9.4% year over year, from 2,147 in March 2024 to 1,945 this year. These homes also took longer to sell, averaging 54 days on the market this year against 49 days on the market in 2024.

Compass has named Miltiadis Kastanis as director of new development sales for South Florida. The move represents a return for Kastanis, who launched his career at Compass in Miami Beach in 2014. He then spent several years as a top agent at Douglas Elliman, where he produced more than $300 million in total sales volume in Florida’s ultra-luxury sector since 2023 and was among the top 1% of agents companywide. “Returning to Compass is both a homecoming and an evolution,” Kastanis said.
