Top transfer portal TE expected to visit Texas

#1 Former Cal tight end Jack Endries, who officially entered the transfer portal on Monday afternoon, is expected to visit Texas, a source has confirmed. Pete Thamel was first to report. A former walk-on, Endries is expected to be one of the more highly-sought-after prospects in the spring portal window after a logging a combined 91 catches and 1,031 yards and four touchdowns in his two seasons at Cal. Endries was Cal's leading receiver in 2024, catching 56 passes for 623 yards and two touchdowns.

#1 Confirmed with a source that Stanford transfer wide receiver Emmett Mosley is visiting Texas today. I believe the visit will go into the weekend because I'm told he'll be at practice and Texas is scheduled to practice on Saturday morning. Mosley visited Virginia earlier in the week and USC could be a school worth monitoring because his brother, Trent, is a 2026 recruit who is committed to the Trojans.

Rivals100 linebacker Taven Epps has taken multiple early visits to check out the Texas Longhorns, including a trip in late March. That trip moved the needle enough with the 2027 standout that he decided on Sunday to give the Longhorns a verbal commitment. Out of Tustin (CA), Epps visited Texas in the fall and then returned again a little more than a week ago. It was on that visit when he made up his mind that he wanted to be a Longhorn. “It’s the coaching, the environment,” Epps said.

#1 Lots of recruits, parents and coaches in attendance for today's practice. A few notes I've been able to pick up ... Shoulder pads and shorts today so a couple of people told me it was actually pretty physical for a non full pads practice. One observer told me the young running backs (Jerrick Gibson and Christian Clark) looked good. DJ Campbell was singled out by one person as having a good day. "Arch was Arch," one person said. I can o my assume that's a good thing. Probably very good.

Arguably the biggest of the group was 5-star defensive end Richard Wesley, the nation’s No. 8-ranked prospect overall in the 2026 class. Wesley, who recently reclassified, spent multiple days with the Texas coaching staff before departing on Sunday afternoon. Included in the visit was a chance to watch the Longhorns practice on Saturday, and Wesley said he liked what he saw.
