    The Iowa Cubs home opener is this Friday, March 28th. Temperatures this time of year can vary wildly with average highs sitting in the mid-50s. This year the forecast for the opener is a warm and very windy day with highs likely pushing near 80°. The record high temperature for March 28th is 82° set in 1910. Over the past 20 years the average temperature for an Iowa Cubs home opener has been 62° with the warmest home opener 82° back on April 12th, 2022 and the coldest 41° on April 12th, 2013.

    The National Weather Service in Des Moines has confirmed an EF-0 tornado that struck at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 near the town of Bloomfield. Damage was reported to the National Weather Service and it was determined that a tornado had touched down at 11 a.m. and lasted for around one minute with an overall path length of one-third of a mile. The cell associated with the storm was said to have no lightning.

    IT WRAPS UP SUNDAY NIGHT. ALL RIGHT. SO WE’VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THE FABULOUS WEATHER. WE’VE BEEN HAVING ON THIS FRIDAY EVENING, BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE JASON CAUGHT SOMETHING PRETTY COOL IN THE SKY. OR AT LEAST A VIEWER OF OURS DID. YEAH. JASON, TELL US ABOUT THIS. AND THERE WAS SOME QUESTION AS TO WHAT THIS WAS INITIALLY LIKE. SOME THOUGHT IT WAS A CONTRAIL, BUT NASA METEOR WATCH ACTUALLY CHIMED IN AND SAID NO, THIS WAS A FIREBALL METEOR. THEY CAUGHT IT ON SATELLITE IMAGERY AND ALL OF THAT.
