Officials at AMSOIL Championship Off-Road found a solution to the season schedule by adding an extra day of competition at the famed Bark River International Raceway in Bark River, Mich. The three-day weekend at one of the sports’ longest, fastest, and favorite facilities quickly became the most vital event of the season.

Lena, Wis. — The 2024 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season roared to life in Lena, Wisconsin, this past weekend with an two days of competition at the Dirt City Motorplex. Round 1Enthusiastic fans were treated to a thrilling spectacle of trucks, UTV’s, and buggies battling it out across 18 short-course racing classes. As day one of the 2024 season came to a close, new challengers emerged while seasoned champions signaled a summer of fierce racing ahead.

Legacy Racing has started their 2024 season with great turnout for all classes. The Pro UTV class left the line first around the 4.5 miles qualifying course. Doug Mittag took the top spot laying down a time of 4:07:385 followed by Michael McFayden three and a half seconds behind Mittag. In the 6100 class Justin “Bean” Smith laid down a heater posting a time of 4:24:989 with Adam Householder right behind a second back.

When Polaris came out with their Pro R right away UTV enthusiasts were wondering what Can-Am’s answer would be and we finally have it in the new Can-Am Maverick R. Can-Am has been developing the new Maverick R for five years and everything on the car except for the seats are brand new from the ground up. Engine, Transmission, Front Diff, Chassis, Suspension, everything was developed from the initial concept.

Every year thousands upon thousands of short course fans invade the small town of Crandon Wisconsin to witness the biggest race of the year and each year the event gets even larger then the last. A packed weekend with over 50 separate races between sportman, pro classes, Ultra4 and Class 11 gave the fans none stop action. And did we mention legendary band KISS played Friday night?
