NEW DELHI, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- At least 14 people have died and around 27 were injured in two separate road accidents in north India, confirmed the police on Saturday. Ten persons died and nearly 19 were injured when the vehicle they were traveling in collided head-on with a bus coming from the opposite direction in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh near the Prayagraj district. The mishap occurred on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj highway at around midnight.

NEW DELHI, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The death toll in Tuesday's multiple landslides in India's southern state of Kerala further rose to 95, with more than 110 people injured, a local police officer told Xinhua over phone. At least three massive landslides struck the Meppadi area of Kerala's Wayanad district at around 02:00 a.m. local time when the people were asleep. Those injured were admitted to a local hospital.
