Plotting the Terms of My SabbaticalI began planning my sabbatical a few years before I formally requested it. There were several factors to consider, including my own finances and the timing for the district. I embarked on my sabbatical after completing two major building projects, with the pandemic seemingly behind us, and a budgeting plan that allowed me to live on half my salary. Mentally and emotionally, I felt I waited as long as I could.
