Toyota reveals bZ7 electric sedan at Auto Shanghai, previewing a production model that will go on sale in China within a year. The bZ7 is built in a joint venture with Chinese automaker Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd., better known as GAC, and is aimed solely at the Chinese domestic market for now. Toyota has shown concepts and renderings of electric sedans over the past five years, but so far this has not translated into an impending model for the US market.

Autonomous-ready versions of the fifth-generation Freightliner Cascadia have been delivered to Torc Robotics, in preparation for a commercial launch in 2027. The trucks are being built with all the sensor pods needed for SAE Level 4 operations with no driver behind the wheel. Torc plans to test these trucks on several routes in Texas ahead of the planned start of commercial services.
