Mason Earns All-Region Honors for Men's Golf

Kansas State senior Nicklaus Mason was named to the 2025 NCAA Division I PING All-Central Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced. Mason, from Shawnee, Kansas, led the Wildcats with a 71.88 scoring average this season. He recorded four top-10 finishes and won two tournaments, including the Wildcat Invitational—the first win of his collegiate career. His 199 total at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational ranks third in K-State history, just one shot shy of the school record.

The Kansas City Chiefs started “Phase 3” of their offseason training this week with voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs) at the team facility. This phase allows the team to run 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 drills, the first time since last season. There is no live hitting and no pads worn, but OTAs mark a key step in preparing for the 2025 season. The practices help players learn plays and build team chemistry ahead of training camp in July.

Kansas State senior Carla Bernat was named a First Team All-American by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the 2024-25 season. This is her second All-American honor, having been named to the second team last year. Bernat, the 2024-25 Big 12 Women’s Golfer of the Year, set a school record with a 70.08 scoring average. She shot in the 60s in 18 of 39 rounds and finished in the top five in eight of 13 tournaments.
20 Wildcats to Compete at NCAA West Preliminary

Kansas State will send 20 athletes to the NCAA West Preliminary from May 28-31 in College Station, Texas. The event selects the top 48 athletes and 24 relay teams from the region, with the top 12 advancing to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon. Senior Emil Uhlin has already qualified for the NCAA Championship in the men’s decathlon with the 14th best score nationally. Six Kansas State baseball players were named to the All-Big 12 Conference Teams on Tuesday May 20th. Junior Maximus Martin and graduate outfielder Keegan O’Connor were selected to the Second Team. Freshman AJ Evasco was named to the All-Freshman Team, while Seth Dardar, Jacob Frost, and James Guyette earned honorable mention recognition. Martin leads the team with a .337 batting average, 18 doubles, and 14 home runs. O’Connor has 16 home runs and 56 RBI, both team highs.
K-State Signs Transfer Max Reynolds to Men’s Golf Team

Kansas State men’s golf coach Grant Robbins announced the signing of transfer Max Reynolds from Lincoln Memorial University. Reynolds played two seasons at Lincoln Memorial, where he had a 71.74 scoring average and earned 17 top-20 finishes. Reynolds ranked in the top 20 nationally in Division II golf both seasons, finishing 20th in 2023-24 and 13th in 2024-25. He helped his team to No. 2 and No. 4 national rankings those years.

Kansas State women’s golfers Carla Bernat and Alenka Navarro each tied for 14th at the 2025 NCAA Championship on Monday in Carlsbad, California. The event was held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Bernat, a senior, shot a 5-under 67 in the final round to finish 2-under 286 for the tournament. Starting on the back nine, she opened with three birdies in a row and finished her last nine holes bogey-free. Navarro, a sophomore, posted a 4-under 68 to also finish at 2-under overall.
K-State Soccer Adds Seven New Players to 2025 Roster

Kansas State head coach Colleen Corbin has added seven players to the 2025 soccer roster. The new Wildcats are McKinnan Braswell, Emerson DeLuca, Ava Garrett, Jordan Losey, Grace Pilling, Maddie Sibbing, and Mabry Williams. Braswell (Mississippi State) and DeLuca (LSU) transfer in with match experience, while Pilling (Texas Tech) and Sibbing (Kansas City) bring depth in goal. Losey (Miami) and Garrett (incoming freshman) add to the defensive and forward units.
Lee Named to Naismith Midseason Team

K-State senior center Ayoka Lee has been named to the 2025 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Women’s National Player of the Year Midseason Team. This is the third time she has received this recognition, having also been named in 2022 and 2024. Lee has earned several honors this season, including preseason All-America mentions, a spot on the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List, and the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year title.
