Depuis que je roule à moto dans des conditions autres que sur des routes pavées, j’utilise les produits de protection Leatt dont je suis un grand fan. Mon protège-coude et mes protégés-genoux de la marque Leatt m’accompagnent lors de chaque sortie. Néanmoins, ces équipements de protection sont optionnels. Les bottes, elles, sont sans aucun doute la pièce d’équipement la plus importante après le casque.

Since I’ve been riding my motorcycle in conditions other than paved roads, I’ve been using Leatt protection products, of which I’m a big fan. My Leatt elbow and knee protectors accompany me on every ride. However, this protective equipment is optional. Boots, on the other hand, are without doubt the most important piece of equipment after the helmet. This is especially true for those who ride on gravel or in more challenging situations.

There’s an expression that says “less is more”, which means that simplicity can lead to better results. The Honda NX500, formerly CB500x, is the perfect definition of “less is more”. To begin with, I should explain that when I test a motorcycle, I make sure I know what type of customer it’s intended for. I then put myself in the shoes of a member of that clientele and ride. That’s how I can see if the manufacturer has done his homework or not.

During the Motofest 2024 Classic weekend, the 4Riders Magazine team and I had the chance to test ride the new KTM 790 Adventure. For 2024, the 890 Adventure disappears and is replaced by the 790. The 890 Adventure was a wiser version than the 890 Adventure R, which is definitely more off-road. I’m inclined to think that buyers looking for a more docile bike than the R were more inclined towards the Husquvarna Norden 901. The latter offers more in the way of adventure.
