Most people think that Republicans are better stewards of the economy than Democrats. This is not true. Republicans like to lower taxes on the wealthy hoping that they will invest that extra money in their business by hiring more workers and raising salaries. It’s called the trickle down theory and it doesn’t work. In reality big corporations spend that money buying back stock which makes their stockholders wealthier. Economic analyses of 50 years of tax cuts for the rich show no trickle down.
