    Triton Central has a “12-6” mentality in preparation for its Class 2A, Sectional 38 semifinal game Friday at Shenandoah. The Tigers, now 8-2, are seeking their 12th-consecutive appearance in a football sectional championship game and chasing a sixth consecutive sectional championship. A win over the Raiders in Middletown Friday would guarantee that 12th straight sectional championship game will be played in Fairland against either Lapel (7-3) or Centerville (9-1).

    Olivia Faust played 24 minutes Tuesday for Marian’s women’s basketball program in a season-opening 74-37 victory at Rochester Christian (Mich.). The Triton Central graduate scored five points, collected four rebounds and had one assist, one block and two steals. The win was the first collegiate win for new head coach Suntana Anderson.
