Photo by Matthew J. Lee/The Boston Globe via Getty Images For the second time in three years the Boston Celtics are back in the NBA Finals. The first draft of that sentence was “we’re back in the NBA Finals” because I’m a fan first. I changed it because technically I’ve never scored a basket for the team. Also because SEO experts tell me it is good to get the full team name in the first few sentences and I’m greedy for more clicks.

I had to explain to my son what the word "cathartic" means. It is "providing psychological relief through the open expression of strong emotions" for anyone wondering. The Boston Celtics accomplished exactly what they should have in this first round series against an overmatched and undermanned Miami Heat team. Yet somehow it feels like a little bit more. After all, the Heat (on paper) were overmatched last year as well.

It’s one of the most famous countdowns in rock and roll. The “1,2,3,4” leads into the iconic riff that anchors the Lynyrd Skynyrd hit “Sweet Home Alabama.” The song has been streamed over 1.2 billion times, is the name of a famous Reese Witherspoon movie, and is played at every Alabama Crimson Tide football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium. But Lynyrd Skynyrd’s lead vocalist, Johnny Van Zant, never lets the nostalgia get in the way of continuing the band’s mission.

Cattle economics point toward favorable conditions in the coming years. Producers should begin readying their operations now, starting with their pastures and rangeland. Grazing is such an integral part of cattle production -- from cow-calf to stockers. Whether due to too little or too much moisture, grazing lands have taken a beating. They need recovery. And that takes time. It is recommended that producers extend a gentle hand of management.

Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images Jaylen Brown keeps getting better every year. “But wait,” you might say. “He’s down in stats pretty much across the board (points, rebounds, assists, FG%). How can you say he’s getting better?”I say this because his mentality is hyper-focused on doing whatever it takes to win and in particular being ready to win in the playoffs. Take a moment and read Jay King’s excellent feature on Brown in The Athletic and you’ll see what I mean.

Recently, we received an email about a healthcare panel entitled “Using AI with Modern Fax Capabilities to Reduce Administrative Burden.”We immediately thought, “wait, what?”But yes, we had read it correctly: There was a panel on integrating AI with fax machines in healthcare! Are we stuck in the 1980s? Shouldn’t healthcare just get with the times and stop using fax machines? We had to laugh. But under the surface, this email tells us a lot.

If there’s a hole in your body, you can put drugs into it. (Do I have to leave a disclaimer? The blog is still new, so why not: I don’t use drugs and I don’t recommend them to you either, I’m just describing what people do.)Every drug seems to have a “right” way to take it. You drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, snort powdered cocaine, inject heroin, and booty bump ecstasy1. There will always be exceptions, but the route of administration seems to heavily impact the experience of drug use.
