This second part addresses further challenges of building working-class power that is independent of other forces and the ideological work of building a working-class identity in this period. The 10-year-old Coalition is trying to build a durable alliance of labor and community groups that can exercise local power. In the electoral arena, we’ve built our influence through focused work on issues.
