Not only did the LaRue County High School softball team enjoy another strong season by making the 5th Region Tournament semifinals and the Class 2A state tournament, two players and the coaching staff had their efforts recognized by the 5th Region Coaches Association. Seven area baseball players have been selected to the all-5th Region Coaches Association team, and several have been recognized to take part in all-star games this summer. LaRue County placed four players on the team with senior Lucas Thompson and sophomore Dekker Thomas taking two of the three outfield positions.
