    I congratulate Judge Jimmy Pool on his recent retirement after a successful legal and judicial career. I consider him a good friend and a wonderful person. I first met Jimmy when I was working for Jere Beasley in the late 80s, and we continued our friendship over the years through our politics and family. Jimmy has done many great things, but by far the smartest was marrying Carol in 1993.
