Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares was part of a 50-state coalition that reached a settlement with drug companies Heritage Pharmaceuticals and Apotex. The groups were accused of inflating and manipulating generic drug pricing, while reducing competition and restraining trade.

    Published 12:04 am Thursday, October 24, 2024 Hunters here in Lunenburg and across the region recently scored a victory as the Virginia Supreme Court upheld their right to retrieve. The Sept. 26 decision affirmed the Court of Appeals ruling that allows sportsmen to go onto private property to retrieve their hunting dogs. Here in Lunenburg, there have been a few complaints from property owners, but it’s been a serious problem in neighboring counties like Charlotte and Prince Edward.

Lunenburg County native and regional celebrity Calvin King brought the music Saturday night for the Old School Party Reunion at the Dogwood. King was the first Black deejay in this region and the first to broadcast from South Hill.

It also won’t have as much of an effect on other parts of our state.
